Belper is a medium-sized market town at the heart of the Derwent Valley. A busy Farmer's Market is held on the second Saturday of the month, and there are good shops and transport links within minutes of Fleet Cottage.
As well as the historic North Mill, sited next to the delightful River Gardens, it's the ideal starting point for many walks in the area.
